According to the Nevada Division of Minerals, there are around 200,000 abandoned mines in Nevada. 63% of Nevada is public land. Many of those abandoned mines are on public land. In this week’s video, we try a new hobby – rockhounding! The state of Nevada is a perfect place for this hobby. And the best part is that’s it’s FREE thanks to public lands!
